Are the patterns really free?
Yes — every pattern published on CozyCrochetStitches is free to access and use. There’s no paywall or email-gated download.
Can I sell items I make from your patterns?
Yes, you’re welcome to sell finished items made from these patterns in a small shop (Etsy, craft fairs, etc.). Please don’t sell or republish the written pattern itself — credit and a link back is always appreciated.
What skill level are the patterns written for?
Patterns are labeled by skill level — beginner, easy, or intermediate — in each post. The Beginner Crochet category is the best place to start if you’re new to the hook.
Can I substitute a different yarn than the one listed?
Generally yes, as long as the substitute yarn is a similar weight. Keep in mind that gauge, drape, and final size can shift with a different fiber or brand, so it’s worth swatching first for anything size-sensitive like garments.
What do the stitch abbreviations mean?
Each pattern lists the abbreviations it uses near the top, before the instructions begin. Standard US crochet terms are used throughout the site unless a pattern says otherwise.
I found a mistake in a pattern — what should I do?
Please reach out through the Contact page with the pattern name and where you got stuck. Patterns are tested before publishing, but corrections are made quickly when something slips through.
Can I repost my finished project on Pinterest or Instagram?
Absolutely — sharing photos of what you’ve made is welcome and appreciated. A credit and link back to the original pattern is the only ask.
Do you offer patterns as an ad-free PDF?
Not yet, but it’s on the roadmap. For now, most browsers offer a built-in “print to PDF” option that works well for saving a pattern offline.
